Private Sommeliere has been adapting its concept of gathering wine lovers, and for the 2021 Summer, Luciana is offering wine experiences at your favorite city park.

The events include wine tasting, wine and cheese pairing, and masterclasses from various world regions. These regions are, the Finger Lakes in New York State, Bordeaux, Bourgogne, Champagne in France.

Luciana also specialized in Alpine wine, cheese, and gastronomy. You can learn more about Swiss wine, cheeses, and fondue, and explore wine and cuisine from Austrian and Germany. Luciana can also take you to the New World and explore Chile, Argentina, Uruguay wines, and Brazilian sparkling wines.

I am originally from Santa Catarina in southern Brazil. I emigrated to the United States when I was 18 and earned my Bachelor’s Degree from New York University (NYU) with a major in Art History and Political Science. During my college years, I studied abroad in Paris and Madrid and can speak French and Spanish fluently.

Following my graduation, I worked in New York City in various fields until 2009, when I moved to Switzerland. While there I earned my Master’s Degree in International Relations at the University of Lausanne. It was in Lausanne that I obtained my Sommelier Certification from the L’Association Suisse des Sommeliers Professionel (ASSP).

During the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro Brazil, I served as the Exclusive Sommelier for the Swiss Government. During that 45-day period, I conducted presentations for 1,800 attendees pertaining to the culture of various Swiss cheeses and Swiss wines.

While living in Brazil I operated my own successful wine bar and specialized in Alpine wine and cheese culture.

In 2018 I became certified as a sommelier instructor of the International Sommelier Guild.

While living in Brazil, I served as the Brand Ambassador of both Swiss and Austrian wines. I also presented our wines at various trade shows and offered a Master Class in various venues.

I specialize in American, Swiss, Austrian, Brazilian, Argentinian, and Chilean wines, gastronomy, and culture.

I also focus on the Bordeaux, Bourgogne, cote de Rhone, Gaillac and Languedoc regions of France.

I served as the Brand Ambassador of the Prosecco Valdobbiadene Region of Italy, the most important prosecco region of the country.

I’m also the Brand Ambassador of the oldest Swiss cheese style and the first Suisse cheese to obtain the AOP (Appellation Origin Protege) L’Etivaz AOP-Fromage D’Alpage.

I have a very strong interest in cheeses and I am constantly tasting and studying them.

I love making wine and this past summer I worked in the Finger Lakes Region of New York State as a wine-making assistant.
